Uplift Mission Incorporated offers programs and events designed to mentor, educate, and support young men as they develop leadership skills, confidence, and strong character. Through mentorship, educational support, and community engagement, our programs help prepare young men for success in life.
Uplift Manhood Summer Day Camp




The Second Annual Uplift Manhood Summer Day Camp is a mentorship and leadership development program designed for young men to learn important life skills while participating in structured activities and mentorship sessions.
Camp participants take part in discussions, team activities, and personal development sessions that focus on responsibility, leadership, and positive decision-making.
The Second Uplift Manhood Summer Day Camp will be held July 20 – 24, 2026 at the J Smith Young YMCA located at 119 West 3rd Avenue, Lexington, NC from 9:45am until 4:00pm Monday thru Thursday and 9:45am until 1:00pm on Friday.
**Transportation, if needed, will only be provided to those living within Lexington City Limits**.
Participants who follow program guidelines and fully participate in activities will receive up to a $25 daily stipend, which is paid at the end of the camp.
Parents or guardians must submit the Uplift Manhoods Summer Day Camp Application before the June 30, 2026 registration deadline. Once the completed application is received, a member of our team will review your application and contact you with additional information.
Uplift Manhood Development Workshop



The Uplift Manhood Development Workshop provides mentoring sessions that help young men develop communication skills, leadership abilities, and personal responsibility.
Workshops include discussions on education, character development, decision-making, and preparing young men to become responsible members of their families and communities.
Once the application is completed, a member of our team will review your application and contact you with additional information.
Celebrating the Power of Fatherhood
Celebrating the Power of Fatherhood is a series of inspirational events designed to encourage fathers to play an active role in the lives of their children.
These events highlight the importance of fatherhood and family leadership through meaningful discussions, testimonials, and mentorship. The events also provide opportunities for community engagement in a welcoming environment that includes music, food, and fellowship.
Lifeline Scholarship
The Lifeline Scholarship program supports the continued personal and educational development of graduating Omega STARRS members.
This scholarship provides financial assistance that can be used toward educational opportunities or other initiatives that help recipients grow personally and professionally.
The goal of the scholarship is to empower recipients to pursue their goals, overcome barriers, and contribute positively to their communities.
Scholarship Requirements
To receive the Lifeline Scholarship, applicants must:
• Be an Omega STARRS member
• Graduate with at least a C average GPA
• Complete at least one service project each school year
• Attend 90% of mentoring sessions
• Remain within the service area
• Successfully complete 10 years of mentorship under Charlie W. Bethea
Eligible recipients will receive a $1,000 Lifeline Scholarship upon graduation.
