Charlie W. Bethea is the founder and President of Uplift Mission Incorporated. A graduate of Winston-Salem State University, he established the organization in 2025 to mentor young men and help guide them toward becoming responsible, productive leaders in their families and communities. Through his leadership, he remains committed to strengthening families and supporting youth development.

Joseph Lewis Jr.
Vice President
Joseph Lewis Jr. serves as the Vice President of Uplift Mission Incorporated. A graduate of Winston-Salem State University and UNC Greensboro, he is a retired U.S. Army Major and former Federal Nurse Manager with over 40 years of service. With decades of leadership, mentorship, and community service, he continues to support programs that help guide young men toward becoming responsible and productive leaders.

Eugene Koonce
Secretary
Eugene Koonce serves as the Secretary of Uplift Mission Incorporated and brings strong leadership, communication, and community outreach experience to the organization. As a dedicated church leader and outreach advocate, he is committed to serving others, strengthening community connections, and supporting initiatives that uplift and empower individuals and families.

Mickey V. Harris Sr.
Treasurer
Mickey V. Harris Sr. serves as Treasurer of Uplift Mission Incorporated. He currently works as a Transportation Manager for McLane Company’s New Jersey Division, where he oversees a large logistics operation supporting hundreds of retail locations across multiple states. A veteran of the U.S. Army with over 30 years of service, he brings strong leadership, discipline, and operational experience to support the mission and financial oversight of the organization.

Dr. Victor Leon Bruinton is an accomplished entrepreneur and community leader, currently serving as President and CEO of Bestway Express, Inc. A proud graduate of Winston-Salem State University, he has built a successful career in transportation and business while remaining deeply involved in community service and leadership. His dedication to mentorship, education, and community development continues to make a lasting impact.
